Default Solo Necro farming: 55hp

Hi all.

After a break from GW I am back. Before I stopped playing I was beginning to look into solo farming UW and such with my necro. Started looking at doing it again recently until someone told me today they thought that some nerf had stopped necro's solo farming. Is this true? With a brief search of the forums I havent found anything saying such. Dont want to go ahead and buy the armour and runes and such only to find out its not possible anymore!

Any information and advice on solo farming as a necro would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance - Mole

To my knowledge, soloing the UW as an Invinci necro is still possible. You just have to watch out for the Dying Nightmares who rend your enchantments.

Yes you can still very easily solo the uw with your 55hp necro. Once you get the hang of it you can clear a very large portion of the uw and/or clear a smite run just as fast if not faster then your average 2 man group.

Did a smite run last night cuz factions is so boring. Took around 15-20 mins. No ecto drops and grape chest.....yay.

That is why you pre-cast it. Or draw out the interrupts by using mending, then getting it interrupted, then cast SS. All it takes is practice.

Or u just use this build:

Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Guardian [THE KEY TO CASTING SS WEEEE] EDIT: u should have 40% chance
SS
Shadow Of Fear [cover for smites] [low recharge]
Essence Bond
Balthazars Spirit
Mending

Use guardian to block their attacks while u cast SS, the aataxes are easy as pie, the graspings can be a little tricky, they use distracting blow right away so cast SS after that and watch them die. If they happen to catch u offguard then ur screwed once they build up adrenaline and skull crack you.

You can also solo FoW first quest with a 55 necro and get the reward chest all to urself. Thats the same build but with insidious parasite instead of shadow of fear. Just cast insidious on a warrior while maintaining PS and HB and guardian. There is a wonderful video on file front of the whole quest solo if u care to watch.

I'm sure the search but once again is working...
They talk about Kcp's build and the second version wich shouldn't be called a different build it just uses vigorous spirit instead of guardian.
Still possible and still easy.

Just as easy as searching if you can believe it.

I forgot where the link is, it on file front but that doesnt help much. Yes u can keep repeating the quest, after u do it once then u can die and go back in and do it over agian. A smooth run takes about 36 minutes. You must bring the warriors next to the monks in order for them to die. Also, only take on 1 abyssal at a time and always cover PS with guardian when facing a mesmer.
